Why the Body Mind Connection?

Because once they work together, body and mind work wonders! And the resulting inner calm opens up infinite possibilities, both on a psychic level and on an emotional and physiological level. It is a gentle and adapted way of opening up to one's deepest needs.

The mind is then able to reflect in an optimum way. Emotions are regulated. And the body contacts a state of general well-being conducive to relaxation but also to creativity and joy.

In a society that has overvalued the analytical and performance dimension of being,  our deep, instinctive, intuitive and emotional nature has been devalued.  It  results in latent malaise, a feeling of emptiness, even a depressive state, addictive behavior, an inability to feel "happy" when all the lights are green, somatizations of all kinds appear, physical and psychological discomfort , etc...

Listening to oneself, to one's emotions, to one's body is a necessary journey to rediscover the essence of one's deep nature. And of his life force!  It is only from there that it is possible to spread your wings and project yourself into a life that makes sense.

The Body Mind Connection is an invitation to get out of your mental ruminations and to discover yourself. It is a journey towards one's deepest nature which leads to relaxation and better self-understanding.

Sophrology

Sophrology is much more than a simple method of relaxation.

It is an approach of body consciousness with an existential dimension.

It is an alternative to massage for people resistant to touch, but it is also a great source of proposals for working on breathing, a real gateway to mind-body awareness.

This training in self-perception and observation of one's sensations gradually leads the person to a change of outlook on themselves and the world around them through the various techniques offered during the sessions.

I am trained in sophrology with a Rogerian dimension (Carl Rogers, humanist psychotherapist, creator of the person-centered approach).

Coaching

Trained in coaching by Coaching Ways, a school accredited by the International Coaching Federation, I practice a global and integrative approach.

I lean  on different techniques such as integral vision, dynamic spiral, transactional analysis, NLP  just to name a few.

I train in parallel to Clean Language (). This creative approach was devised by Dave Grove, a New Zealand psychotherapist who, faced with cases of clients presenting with symptoms of post-traumatic stress, sought a way to circumvent the origin of the stress using metaphor. It's a creative way to approach coaching and I'm gradually including it in my work while waiting to validate my certification (March 2020)

Massages

Bio-release massage

Created by Gerda Boyesen, a Danish psychologist (1922-2005) who made the link between stress and the digestive system, this massage supports the body in its self-regulation process.

It can be practiced fully clothed and is done using a stethoscope. The function of this is to convey the intestinal movements ("psychoperistalsis" according to Gerda, "intestinal gurgling") which will indicate where the process of assimilation of bodily tensions is.

It is a massage that leads to a deep connection to oneself and accompanies the process of emotional cleansing in a gentle and respectful way.

Esalen-Massage

The Esalen massage is at the origin of the Californian massage.

It is a massage developed in the 60s at the Esalen Institute, an alternative space for personal development where different approaches such as Gestalt, Rolfing, transpersonal psychology, and many others have been created.

The Esalen massage is an integral massage, based on oil. Each part of the body is contacted through long movements reminiscent of the flow of Pacific waves. It is a slow and deep massage, working the fascias as well as the muscles, and allows you to reconnect with your corporality and your feeling of existing. It is particularly indicated for people who have little perception of their body, and who find it difficult to relax in it.

about
IMG_0277_2_edited.jpg

Born in the USA, of a French mother and a Chilean father, I traveled throughout my childhood in Asia, then found my paternal family for a few years in  Latin America in adolescence. When I was 20, I left my luggage in France and met the father of my children there.

I have 2 sons who are now creatively moving forward in their young adult lives and I now share  my life between Paris and Frankfurt, Germany.

Raised by a hippie mother, in a bohemian and nomadic environment,  Very early on, I had to find a mode of operation that allowed me to adapt to the different environments in which we sailed. My formidable ability to adapt, however, hid a deep feeling of marginality. My childhood dream  it was living a "normal" life, with schedules, a television, eating at a table with cutlery and having a dad come home from work with a satchel in his hand.

As an adult, this dream came true, I quickly realized that my idea of happiness had to be reviewed!

The normality I was looking for didn't bring me the feeling of well-being and balance that I thought I would find there. There was an error in the program!

This is followed by a journey made up of crisis, doubt and existential questioning. If the model of social success did not bring me the desired serenity, what steps should I take to find it?

Looking back, I realize what a great opportunity this existential crisis was for me since it allowed me to unfold all my beliefs and my certainties.  It marked the beginning of my quest. And listening to my needs.

Quite naturally, I undertook various training courses in personal development and body therapy, letting myself be guided by my intuition and the experience I had of it. It is the fruit of this maturation that led me to develop my own support activity.

I now accompany others on their life journey by offering a space for exploration  interior allowing to let emerge what needs to be readjusted.
